52.

Portugal. The Man
Waiter: "You Vultures!"
(Defiance Records, 2006)

Something of a minor cross over success, Waiter: "You Vultures!" filled a gap in my life which yearned for something a little more Smartpunk than Pitchfork, but maintained a creative indie rock aesthetic. I also always thought the album was a weird descendent of At The Drive-In. But that's neither here nor there. The band has since wandered off into more classic rock oriented music and in the process become more and more watered down, but that doesn't change the fact that their debut is absolutely wonderful.
